That's kinda cute, says the engineer. :)
We just got a hand-me-down general store as a sort-of dollhouse for boys. I think it would've made a great toy for me too! I had a dollhouse and really didn't use it. Once I was done making the furniture and setting up the rooms, there just didn't seem like anything else to do.
