Due to Dan's concerns of an impending escape attempt, we replaced A's maple crib with a pink plastic bear-shaped toddler bed. Except for the unfortunate effect on our decor, it has been a success- her sleep pattern has not changed and she still hasn't quite realized that she could get out of her bed when she's not supposed to.
